Hey, if you put your back to it and your heart in it, you can move mountains!

In fact, they have an easier time getting those ISBUs onto the site than SOME of us do, huh? :)

Stay at it, and stay focused! You can do it! ;)

This is determination at its best! The view is beautiful as well. It was pretty rough I thought it was going to fall over but they made it.... thanks for the inspiration I needed that.

it would make a pretty safe spiral staircase housing - stack the shipping containers right next to it and cut doorways - save yourself the living space... put shelving up on the inside walls - and at the top a deck with a telescope for looking at the clear night sky - I think I could really dig that...

Clark,

What the hell are you talking about? Did you go off your med's again?

Um... now's not a good time to do that, sport... what with the economy trying to kill us all by itself.

But hey, that new tax credit extension should help out your bottom line, huh? All those suburban yuppie house flippers will be lining up at your door!

Oy vey...

Can't you just picture that silo next to my stack of shipping containers?

The neighbors would have an aneurysm! :)

I could just tell them that I was gonna solve the Iranian Nuclear dilemma, all by myself, as soon as I finished the launch tube... ;)

Too bad it's all the way up in Wisconsin...

um - if Ronin had money to burn on marketing he would probably have already built and be living in his Corten Hurricane Fortress with his desperately ill wife and extremely young child by now.

...and now a word from the darkside...

Hey Mr. Ronin great idea! too bad people don't want it!

About to get a little metaphysical here but from an old timeshare 'Willie', I got to say, 'you don't have your ups anywhere near closed. Go back to your pitch and work on the front end more.' Not only that, but if you were a timeshare rep in one of my resorts, I'd probably fire you 'at the table' just to demonstrate my point.

Seriously. Nowhere is the basic drives/reactions/responses of people in our culture better illustrated than in a (properly executed) timeshare pitch. It is a numbers game, but if you pitch enough people you will see what I mean.
And this does not mean everyone is the way I am describing, but it very definitately mean that as a mass audience, people will react a certain way. Always.

You have a good idea with these house things (except the part about where you are going to put these homes, as the textbooks on real estate say, 'underneath all is the land') you best have that worked out, but for now lets look at what you are trying to sell.

Then again, lets not.
There is too much detailed information here already!
Lets get all metaphysical on your blog-reading-asses.

People buy things for 2 reasons and only 2 reasons.

If you know these two reason, you will know how to find you market and shape your message.
These two reasons are not 'secret knowledge' nor are they the result of years of study by scientists.

The two reasons people buy is so fundamental that even when shown them, most 'professional' salespeople turn away looking for a shiny and slick solution.
And (even that) proves the truth of the two reasons people buy.

I could give you the two reasons without cost, but I won't.

Coming soon to this blog:Next Comment: 'whats up with this two reasons shit, is 'ronin trying something or what?'

Now there’s a good idea…

Read “Ronin” and then get onto a plane…

That’s an upset stomach in a little tiny aircraft bathroom just waiting to happen! :)

Now what was it you do again? Oh yeah, you run SG Blocks!

For those of you who don’t know WHO SG Blocks is, they're the "clean up batters" of the ISBU Home industry. If you've ever been to a home show and you've seen an ISBU demonstration home with lines around the block... it was probably theirs.

Ever watch Bob Vila? Well, he showed off David and one of the ISBU homes being built in Florida a few years back...

And not one to rest on their... um... er... laurels... :)

Now they’re doing even cooler stuff!

Check 'em out, HERE: http://www.sgblocks.com

You’re just looking to swipe some of my little tricks huh?

Well…

Have at it! I’m glad to help out! Now get back to work! Cutting all those ISBUs up with a plasma cutter takes a long time, and you still have about a million containers to go! :)

Go on… git!
